Here’s an e-mail worth sharing this afternoon:
Neate,
Thanks for the e-mail. We’ll still work for 2009. Keep the pressure on the politicians.
Miles Wolff
Here’s hoping he does. Wolff believes in baseball in this city more than some of the people who are trusted to do what’s right for us. Why that is should be forced it out into the open.
Meantime, support comes from the Citizen’s Ken Gray:
“While city staff and the owners of the Ottawa Lynx conduct a lawsuit duel, a beautiful $15-million piece of public infrastructure will likely sit empty next season. The ballpark, a perfect minor-league venue, should have baseball in it. That’s what taxpayers paid for when it was built. The Can-Am league and Baseball Canada desperately want to occupy the stadium. Our city politicians and administrators should buckle down to see that it happens soon.”
